Available to Georgia PUBLIC and CHARTER Schools (2014/15)
Education Community Partnership (ECP) initiative works by bringing together public schools and sponsor partners to provide the GPA application to elementary school children. The cost of the GPA application license is covered for the year by a business or foundation sponsor partners.
The ECP initiative is a scholarship-based initiative to improve education outcomes in public elementary schools. The ECP is managed by Great Parents Academy in partnership with The Schlechty Center, schlechtycenter.org. (The Schlechty Center is a non-profit company that provides educational leadership services to schools.)
Close the achievement gap by providing GPA to children in Georgia public schools as a model for a national rollout:
- Increase student and parent engagement in the learning process
- Improve comprehension and mastery of math
- Utilize after school programs to access technology to use the application
- Provide sponsor partners with anonymous data on mastery and engagement to show impact
Objectives:
- Obtain 26,755 Georgia K-5th grade students
- Partner with approximately 65 public elementary schools with supportive Principals
- Raise $4 million in scholarship funds from business or foundation sponsor partners matched by GPA’s in-kind contribution
- Sponsor scholarships up to $250,000 with a donation for the 2014/2015 school year
